Emergency Medicine Resident Exchange

Partner: Bali International Medical Centre Hospital

Identified Need: The Bali International Medical Centre Hospital has recognized the need for emergency medicine training for physicians on the island of Bali in Indonesia

CIM's Solution: With the goal of improving emergency medical care on the island of Bali, Indonesia, the CIM has partnered with the Bali International Medical Centre (BIMC) to implement an ongoing training and education program. Every month, CIM sends a senior level emergency medicine resident to BIMC to assist with medical education and provide daily consultation on emergency medical care. Participating residents provide didactic lectures to the BIMC medical staff on a variety of topics incorporating Q&A sessions, skills labs, and case studies. The program enables BIMC medical staff to be up-to-date with the latest trends in emergency medical care, all the while providing a unique experience for UCLA residents.
